Carlota Guerrero’s “See you soon” message to the EUFCN

Dear all,

As you may have gathered from the subject line, this is a farewell message. After 18 incredible years leading the Catalunya Film Commission, and two and a half as EUFCN’s co-president, I will be starting a new professional chapter as the Managing Director of PROA The Federation of Audio-visual Producers.

I feel incredibly fortunate to continue working in the industry, which means I will still be in touch with many of you—albeit in a different capacity. One of my key roles at the Federation will be supporting our member production companies in their international expansion, so who knows if I will soon be reaching out, thinking of ways to collaborate! That’s why this doesn’t quite feel like a “goodbye,” but rather a “see you soon”—which makes writing this message much easier.

That said, I couldn’t leave without expressing my gratitude for these years of growth, learning, and collaboration. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of the EUFCN board since 2020 and to serve the association as co-president, together with dear Adrian Mitchell, since December 2022.

Over these years, we have seen EUFCN raise its profile and that of its members amongst the global production landscape while, at the same time, Catalonia has established itself as a key destination for both national and international audiovisual productions. Through your inputs or by sharing your insight, each and every one of you has played a part in making both institutions a valuable resource for professionals and a gateway to our audio-visual industry and region. For that, I can only say: thank you.
